What Is LetraInstaller IPA?

LetraInstaller is an iPhone and iPad application that signs, modifies and installs compatible IPA files directly on the device.

The project was created by CokePokes and is also known simply as Letra.

It is designed for people who want more control over IPA installation without using a traditional jailbreak.

LetraInstaller supports signing through a free Apple Account or an eligible paid Apple Developer account.

The app can create compatible development certificates, register a device and request provisioning profiles through Apple's developer services.

Users can import IPA files and edit basic application details before signing.

Supported changes include the app name, bundle identifier, version and selected entitlements.

LetraInstaller also includes tweak injection.

Users can import compatible .dylib files or .deb packages and include their components in an IPA before signing.

The app provides controls for keeping or removing application extensions.

After signing, users can install the app through LocalDevVPN or hand compatible Ad Hoc packages to TrollStore.

LetraInstaller also saves installed apps in a library so users can sign and reinstall them before free development profiles expire.

An optional Telegram integration can retrieve supported IPA files through a bot-based workflow.

The application does not jailbreak the iPhone or bypass all Apple signing restrictions.

Some advanced installation features require initial computer pairing, and not every application or tweak is compatible.

LetraInstaller is best suited to iPhone users who understand IPA files, signing permissions and the risks of modifying applications.

  3. Unlock your device and tap Trust when prompted.
  4. Generate the required pairing file.
  5. Transfer it to your iPhone using a secure method.
  6. Open LetraInstaller.
  7. Go to Settings → Import Pairing File.
  8. Select the pairing file.
  9. Enable LocalDevVPN when required.
  10. Return to the signed IPA.
  11. Choose Install with LocalDevVPN.

Pairing on iOS 17.4 or later

The developer documents a newer RPPairing workflow for iOS 17.4 and later.

Use a compatible version of idevice_pair to generate the required pairing information.

You may also need to enter your device UDID manually.

Version 0.4.7-1 improves support for RPPairing files and fixes an installation issue affecting these firmware versions.

How to install an IPA using TrollStore

  1. Confirm that your iOS version supports TrollStore.
  2. Open LetraInstaller.
  3. Choose IPA.
  4. Select the file you want to install.
  5. On Configure, select Ad Hoc.
  6. Apply any supported changes.
  7. Tap Sign.
  8. Choose Install with TrollStore.
  9. Complete installation in TrollStore.

TrollStore is not available on every iOS version.

How to inject a tweak into an IPA

  1. Open LetraInstaller.
  2. Import a compatible IPA.
  3. Open the Configure screen.
  4. Enable Tweak Injection.
  5. Import your .dylib or .deb file.
  6. Review the tweak's requirements.
  7. Choose which extensions and resources to retain.
  8. Sign the modified application.
  9. Install it through your configured installation method.
  10. Test the application before adding another tweak.

Only modify apps you own or are authorized to modify.

How to refresh installed apps

Open LetraInstaller → Apps.

Select the application and tap Resign & Reinstall.

LetraInstaller uses the saved IPA to renew its signing profile.

How to get an IPA through Telegram

  1. Open LetraInstaller.
  2. Select Get IPA from Telegram.
  3. Sign in through the integrated Telegram workflow.
  4. Paste a supported App Store link.
  5. Select Get IPA.
  6. Wait for the package to become available.
  7. Review it before signing.

The Telegram feature relies on a bot-based service. Do not assume every app delivered through it is authorized for redistribution or safe to install.

Important safety advice

Treat Apple Account credentials, developer certificates and pairing files as sensitive information.

A pairing file can authorize privileged device communication. Keep it private and never upload it to an unknown signing website.

The developer offers optional Apple Account credential storage in the iOS Keychain, but users should still evaluate account-security risks before enabling it.

  2. iOS 16: Meets the documented minimum.
  3. iOS 17.0–17.3: Uses the older pairing workflow.
  4. iOS 17.4: Requires the newer pairing workflow.
  5. iOS 18: Within the documented minimum range; installation depends on pairing and signing.
  6. iOS 26: Requires compatible modern device pairing.
  7. iOS 27: Full compatibility is not independently established; the developer flags app deletion as uncertain.

Supported Devices

LetraInstaller targets compatible iPhones and iPads.

Each device must also meet the requirements of its chosen installation method.

Free Apple Account Limitations

Apple's free development signing normally has a seven-day application expiration and a three-active-app restriction.

App ID registration limits may also apply.

TrollStore Limitations

TrollStore supports only specific firmware versions.

Ad Hoc signing does not make TrollStore available on unsupported devices.

Tweak Injection Limitations

Not every jailbreak tweak works inside a sideloaded IPA.

Some tweaks require a jailbreak daemon, privileged system access or frameworks unavailable in an ordinary sandbox.

Important Security Limitations

LetraInstaller does not jailbreak the device.

It does not universally remove app sandbox restrictions or unlock unsupported Apple entitlements.

Modifying an IPA can also break its original signature, app extensions or server-based authentication.

Use trusted packages and keep backups before replacing important applications.
