What Is Roam Control IPA?
Roam Control is an iPhone application designed to simulate GPS locations for development, testing and personal experiments.
It lets users choose a location on an Apple Maps interface and make a compatible iPhone report that selected position.
You can search for a place, tap the map or enter geographic coordinates manually.
Roam Control also supports simulated movement along walking, driving and cycling routes.
Users can build custom routes, import GPX files and move freely using a joystick control.
The application provides options to pause, resume, reverse and redirect active routes.
It also includes saved locations, recent history and adjustable movement speeds.
Roam Control uses on-device pairing and LocalDevVPN to access Apple's supported developer location-simulation workflow.
Unlike traditional jailbreak-based location tools, Roam Control does not require a jailbreak.
It does require iOS 27 or later, Developer Mode and a compatible IPA installation method.
Roam Control is distributed as an unsigned IPA through its official GitHub releases, not through the App Store.
It is designed for responsible testing on an iPhone you own and control. Always restore your real location when finished, especially before using navigation, emergency, safety or location-sharing services.
Opens in the members area. The account is free.
Set Custom iPhone GPS Locations
Select a place on Apple Maps, enter coordinates or search for a destination. Start a fixed location session and update the reported position while testing.
Simulate Routes and Movement
Test walking, driving and cycling routes, draw custom paths and import GPX files. Use joystick controls, route pausing and adjustable movement speeds.
No-Jailbreak iOS 27 Setup
Use Developer Mode, on-device pairing and LocalDevVPN to test locations on compatible iPhones. Restore the actual GPS location when testing is complete.
How to Download and Install Roam Control IPA on iPhone
Roam Control can be installed on a compatible iPhone running iOS 27 or later.

How to pair Roam Control
Roam Control provides
Roam Control Features and Supported iOS Versions
Roam Control provides location simulation tools for iOS developers, testers and users carrying out responsible experiments on their own devices.
Fixed GPS Location Simulation
Choose a position using search, coordinates or the map. Start a simulated location and update it without completely rebuilding the session.
Walking Route Simulation
Create simulated walking routes between supported locations using Apple Maps.
Driving Route Simulation
Test location-aware features along driving routes, with adjustable simulated movement speeds.
Cycling Route Simulation
Use cycling routes to check how an application responds to changing GPS coordinates during a simulated bike journey.
Manual Route Builder
Create routes by selecting individual points or drawing a path directly on the map.
GPX Import and Export
Import supported GPX route files for testing. Export compatible routes for later use.
Joystick Movement
Move the simulated position manually without creating a complete route first.
Pause, Resume and Reverse
Control an active route by pausing movement, resuming it or changing direction.
Adjustable Movement Speeds
Set custom speeds for walking, cycling and driving sessions.
Saved Locations and History
Save favorite places and revisit previously selected positions.
Location Restoration
Use Stop & Restore to return the iPhone to normal location reporting after a simulation.
LocalDevVPN Support
Roam Control uses LocalDevVPN for its local developer connection workflow. It includes guidance for Wi-Fi and mobile-data connections.
Device Pairing
Complete an on-device pairing process using Developer Mode and a six-digit code.
Connection Recovery
Recover from certain interrupted sessions and review available connection diagnostics. Recovery is not guaranteed when iOS suspends the application.
Multilingual Interface
Roam Control v0.9.9 provides English, Hebrew, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, French, German and Spanish, plus System Default.
Accessibility Features
The app supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion settings.
Light and Dark Appearance
Choose light, dark or automatic appearance modes.
Supported iOS Versions
- iOS 17: Not supported.
- iOS 18: Not supported.
- iOS 26: Not supported.
- iOS 27: Meets the minimum firmware requirement.
- Later iOS versions: Advertised as iOS 27+, but individual compatibility requires verification.
Supported Devices
Roam Control requires a compatible physical iPhone running iOS 27 or later.
An iPhone simulator may be useful for interface testing, but the actual location simulation and pairing workflow requires a physical supported device.
Important Limitations
Roam Control is not a jailbreak or general-purpose VPN.
LocalDevVPN is used for the local device connection. Location simulation can affect multiple applications that use the iPhone's reported location.
The app's source code is not publicly released, and its developer does not authorize modified or redistributed IPA copies.
Roam Control Troubleshooting and Common Problems
If Roam Control is not installing, pairing or updating the simulated location, try the following checks.
Roam Control IPA Is Not Installing
Make sure your iPhone runs iOS 27 or later. Verify that SideStore is configured correctly and the IPA file matches the official release.
Roam Control Is Not Opening
Check whether the application's signing certificate has expired. Refresh the app through SideStore if required.
Developer Mode Is Not Enabled
Open Settings → Privacy & Security and locate Developer Mode. Follow Apple's instructions to enable it and restart your iPhone if requested.
Roam Control Pairing Is Not Working
Open Device Setup and confirm that you are pairing the correct iPhone. Follow the six-digit code process and check the Local Network permission.
LocalDevVPN Is Not Connecting
Open LocalDevVPN and ensure that the local tunnel is enabled. If necessary, disconnect and reconnect the tunnel.
Roam Control Cannot Find the Device
Check the connection status. If you are using mobile data, follow the application's temporary mobile-data-off setup instructions.
Location Simulation Is Not Starting
Confirm that the device is paired, Developer Mode is enabled and LocalDevVPN is connected.
The Simulated Location Is Incorrect
Check the selected coordinates and map pin. Region-specific mapping systems can require coordinate corrections.
Walking Route Is Not Available
Try another destination or create a manual route. Apple Maps does not provide walking directions for every location.
Driving or Cycling Route Is Not Starting
Check that the selected locations have available route information. Try a manual route if necessary.
Joystick Movement Is Not Responding
Check the active session state and LocalDevVPN connection. Restart the movement session if the app provides that option.
Location Session Stops in the Background
iOS may suspend background applications. Roam Control offers connection recovery, but uninterrupted background execution cannot be guaranteed.
Real GPS Location Is Not Returning
Select Stop & Restore and keep Roam Control open while iOS obtains a fresh GPS result. Check Location Services permissions if the real location remains unavailable.
LiveContainer Pairing Notification Is Missing
Enable Fix Local Notifications in the Roam Control instance's LiveContainer app settings before its first launch.
Personal VPN Is Interfering
Check the developer's VPN compatibility instructions. Some network configurations may conflict with the local connection.
Favorites or History Disappeared After Updating
When upgrading directly from version 0.9.4 or earlier, you must use the app's Backup & Restore feature to migrate saved information to the new app identifier.
Roam Control Requires Pairing Again After Migration
Pairing records are not included in the app backup. Complete device pairing again after installing the migrated version.
Safety Tips
Use only the official GitHub IPA. Back up important settings before updating and restore your real location after testing.
Avoid using location simulation while relying on navigation, emergency response or other safety-related location services.
